The best way to start learning about Facebook ads as a beginner is to set up your Facebook Business Manager account and then create your first ad campaign.ad-campaign-structure

When in your Ad Manager you should see different tabs to organize your account. There’s a ‘hierarchy’ to help organize how you manage everything.

Here’s how it looks:

  • Account: Holds all of your campaigns, ad sets, and ads. Typically, you’d have a single account for your business.
  • Campaigns: Individual campaigns can be created for almost anything. Some might be for specific products or services. While others are merely for driving traffic back to your site. Ideally, you want both.
  • Ad Sets: Exactly what it sounds like. Useful for organizing different groups or categories of ads.
  • Ads: Last but not least, all of your ads. This is the only part that people will see eventually.

You can have multiple campaigns and then each campaign will have multiple ad sets under each. Which will then contain a few ads of its own.

  • Paying a third party to post any review on behalf of anyone else. Customers must leave their own reviews using their own accounts.
  • Getting too many reviews at once. They may trip filters at the review sites that will cause the reviews to be deleted.

Do Consider:

  • Linking to your review profiles from your website.
  • Creating simple print materials, listing places customers can review you, to be given to the customer at the time of service.
  • Training staff with direct contact with customers to request a review from them upon completion of service.
  • After completion of service, following up with an email linking to places a customer can review your business (don’t include Yelp).
  • Requesting reviews during an after-service follow-up phone call.
  • Letting your customers review your business at their review site of choice. Review diversity is good for both customers and search engines.

It’s Easy to share your news or specials to Facebook

The best way to have your news or specials on your website and in social media like Facebook, is to

  • First add the article to your website, using the article SEO optimised functions in admin, this way it is submitted to search engine crawlers
  • And then link it to your Facebook business page. that way when people want to read full article from Facebook it takes them to your website.

These are the easy steps to add an article to Facebook

  1. Find the article you want to share, copy the URL (full article web address, which may not be the page URL) To copy URL, highlight the URL, click ‘Crl C’ (or Apple ‘Command C’)article URL
  2. Go to Facebook.com and log in as the Administrator for your Business Facebook page.
  3. Go to your Facebook ‘Timeline’
  4. Paste the website article URL into ‘Status’ tab
  5. Facebook will automatically import the article, title, link, part of the content and a choice of images from that URL.
  6. Choose the desired image or images
  7. Edit the ‘Status’ text to be more meaningful, rather than just having the URL (content can be added above the URL)
  8. Click Publish
  9. Easy as…..

  10. Now you can log into your Facebook Personal or another Admin profile, search to find the business Facebook page and Share that Facebook post. Which will end up on your Timeline.
